Moderna Museet has a collection of political posters from the 30's. The posters were meant to present the new revolutionary ideas for the people of the Soviet Union, where a large part was illiterate. Through the pictures on the posters, everyone would get information about how a communist society would grow strongly.
Equality was important for the development, and women were needed as workers. This poster was made by the female Russian artist Bri-Bejn and has the text "Women workers, women kolkhoz workers, driving the tractor, at the workbench, with the rifle. Be the Schockworkers of Defense". Schockworkers were high-performing workers.
