A beautiful and sheer silk shawl printed with a work by Lars Lerin, a birch forest.
Lars Lerin was born in 1954 in Munkfors in Värmland. He returns there often, attracted by the beautiful landscape with rivers and lakes, rolling hills and deep coniferous and birch forests. Today he is considered one of Scandinavia's most significant watercolor painters and he is well known in Europe, the USA and in Sweden. His paintings show the Nordic landscape with its colors, light and darkness. He also emphasizes the importance of going out into nature to find yourself and gain spiritual liberation, and uses it as a means to drive away unwanted thoughts. "...I return to the birch forest with joy," he says. "Going out into the forest is the best way to put yourself in a position to understand that you are part of a context, not in your own universe. Then you can become part of nature and understand where you come from and that you are not so special."
