Poster: Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian, Muqarnas One

Discover the shimmering mirror art of Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian with this poster of the work Muqarnas One, in which triangles of mirror glass and red-orange glass form a kaleidoscopic pattern. The title refers to muqarnas, the intricate vault decorations found in Iranian and Islamic architecture.

Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian (1922–2019) is today regarded as one of Iran's most influential artists. Her art brings together architecture and body, fragment and whole, tradition and innovation. Drawing on Iranian visual traditions and the post-war artistic experiments with material and perception, she developed a visual language shaped by geometric abstraction and the forms of nature.
