The work "Collage på Club meny" came into the museum's collection when Pontus Hultén decided in 2005 to donate his entire private collection of approximately 700 works to Moderna Museet. It is difficult to date Tinguely's work as there is no year on it. However, based on other works in the same style, it can be guessed that it was created in the early 1970s.

The work was made directly for Pontus Hultén, probably as a greeting or a sign of their close friendship. Tinguely, who is primarily known for his mechanical sculptures, instead lets pen and brush create an image that energetically appears to move in different directions/?/

The poster is a reproduction of a collage in the Moderna Museet collection.
