Since Jean Tinguely's stay in Stockholm in 1955, he often discussed a giant construction project that would be carried out by several artists together in a building or outdoors. "The Head" or "The Monster" is a monumental sculpture that began construction in 1969 in collaboration with Niki de Saint Phalle, with contributions from artists such as Daniel Spoerri, Jean-Pierre Raynaud, Eva Aeppli, César, Arman and others. The sculpture is also called "Cyclop" and was begun in 1969 in the forest of Bois des Pauvres in Milly-la-Forêt in France.
The poster is a reproduction of a sketch for the sculpture group in Milly-la-Forêt, which exists in its original form as a lithograph in the Moderna Museet collection.
