Poster, Pablo Picasso, Bather and Ball

Two human figures stand outside a beach hut separated by a ball in the background, and the sun's rays shine sharply. One of the figures appears to be in the process of unlocking the hut with a key. The painting was created during the Picasso family's holiday in Dinard, a famous seaside resort on the Brittany coast. The other sunbathers seem to be studying the couple at the beach hut attentively - or perhaps looking for the ball. The key is a frequent motif in Picasso's art and closely linked to his inner and subconscious. Perhaps a love affair is to take place in the hut?
