In the series Sweden/Sweden, Maria Miesenberger has based her work on photographs of quiet, well-known family scenes that she found in her father's family album. Here we see a group of people on an outing in the countryside. Originally an idyllic image, with the men's hats as clear time markers. It is true that it is the 1950s - the heyday of the public home. But the image is negative and the figures have been covered in a fuzzy blackness. This certainly increases the generality - anyone can place themselves in the void. But at the same time it brings to mind censorship and absence. The scene becomes frightening and familiar at the same time.

The motif on this poster is a work of art in the collection of Moderna Museet.
