Nature is in bloom and everything is teeming with life. There is a lot of activity around the house in Saltsjöbaden where Sven X-et Erixson and his family have lived for three years. The artist himself is standing on a ladder working on the facade while his wife Ingeborg is digging in the garden. His son Sverre is watering and his daughter Irma is playing with a doll. Soon it is time to gather under the parasol and enjoy coffee and cake. But the idyll is threatened by three military aircraft silhouetted against the sky. Europe is at war and Sweden is on high alert. X-et was well aware of the contrast between the sheltered life on the outskirts of Stockholm and the horrors of war. He had a strong commitment to humanity and the equal value of all.
