"Johanna Gustafsson Fürst's sculptural works have an air of self-evidence about them, even though one doesn't understand at all why they actually have to be the way they are. She never shys away from doing something very intricate. She questions the materials, their properties and common uses to create an inverted, suspended, even rebellious sculptural otherness."

The Friends of Moderna Museet's Sculpture Prize - KA Lind's honorary prize has been awarded since the 1950s to a Swedish artist nominated by the members of Friends of Moderna Museet.
