Magnet with Helene Schjerfbeck's painting Flickgestalt, which is in the Moderna Museet collection. Helene Schjerfbeck was something of an outsider. After studying in Paris, she chose to live a secluded life in the Finnish countryside. Her art developed from an impressionist light painting towards a modernist stripped-down style. In "Flickgestalt", she uses a few color planes in saturated pastel tones to create a tranquil, contemplative atmosphere.
