A Plurality of Tongues: Giving Direction to the Museum highlights some of the themes that run like a red thread through Moderna Museet's program. They are all characterized by a focus on diversity, on showing alternatives to modernism and on highlighting female artistry. Another side is about the interaction between different art forms: music, film, dance, poetry, design, architecture, and all the directions we gather under the concept of visual art. Another leitmotif is the exhibition as a theoretical phenomenon and its ability to activate historical time. Our primary focus is not only the artworks but the artists themselves.
