10 Stories: Swedish Art 1910 - 1945 - From the Moderna Museet Collection highlights the indomitable storytelling spirit in Swedish art. Around fifty artists are presented under ten themes: Time Images, Humanity, Traveling with a Camera, Report from Fogelstad, Strangers, Visit to an Eccentric Lady - Nils von Dardel, Song of the Heart, Portrait of a Friend and Self-Portrait, Behind the Red Curtain - Sigrid Hjertén and Under the Fruit Tree. The stories range from personally colored stories to current politics and pure fairy tales.
In addition to rich visual material, the book contains texts by authors who reflect on some of the exhibition's key works. Sigrid Combüchen, Aris Fioretos, Göran Greider, Ulf Peter Hallberg, Ingvar Holm, Gerry Johansson, Anneli Jordahl, Ulrika Knutson, Bengt Lagerkvist and Martin Sundberg tell ten new stories.
