CO Hultén has played a key role in Swedish art history. This exhibition, which spans several decades, focuses on his intense paintings, but also features works from CO Hultén’s extensive private collection of African sculptures and masks.
As a central figure in the avant-garde group Imaginisterna (The Imaginists), formed in 1945, CO Hultén has played a key role in Swedish art history. In 1948, he joined the Cobra group, which also included Asger Jorn.
